More About This Publication
Kids and families answered the Civics Design Challenge, “What new country will YOU dream up?” at a GIANT Remix Station at the New Haven Free Public Library’s Ives Main Branch, celebrating the 250th anniversary of the United States.
Together, they imagined their very own nations - designing flags filled with meaning, sharing the laws that guide their communities, and how their countries care for every citizen. The GIANT team of designers and educators transformed these ideas into AI avatars and published them as a deck of cards, each card featuring one idea. The GIANT World of Ives Main Library map showcases all the new countries and flags.
