Everyone in the community is invited to create and design their own Dream City Cards.
Families with children of all ages are invited to think like a designer and come up with their own city addition, describe who their addition is for, how it makes others feel, and what special features it has that makes them feel that way. Your Dream City cards will be published digitally and 30 selected submissions will be printed and shared with the New York Hall of Science.

Inviting kids in kindergarten and first grade to apply and join us for one FREE session of playtesting and co-designing new games for “Game Changers” - a library of literacy, education games, and videos based on the Emmy Award-winning PBS television series Between the Lions. This free in-person workshop will take place at The GIANT Room offices in New York City. Participating families will receive a $50 digital amazon gift card as a token of appreciation for your time.

A GIANT Remix station has arrived at Babcock Public Library!
Members of the Babcock community are invited to design and make their own Law and Rule Trading Cards.
Families with children of all ages are invited to think like an legislator and invent a law to add their Community Code, or rulebook. Your laws will be published in a deck of cards AND a game book featuring the all the laws in the deck and games to play with them!
Professionally printed cards will be shipped to the library for you to pick up within one month of your submission! You can also check out the full deck of cards and the published game book at your library branch or online on the GIANT website - all completely free of charge.
Date & Time: January 10 - February 14 (during library open hours)
Location: 25 Pompey Hollow Rd, Ashford, CT 06278
Experience Type: A self-directed station at the library

Families with children of all ages are invited to think like an artist and illustrate your self-portrait, describe how you contribute to your community, share your most important values, and award yourselves with a community badge. Your self-portraits will be published in a deck of cards AND a photo album lookbook featuring the community members!
