Ham Radio and Microbit!

1200x0.jpg

DESCRIPTION: Did you know ham radio or amateur radio was a big hobby of Jerry Lawson, known as "Father of Modern Gaming"? Ham radio, is the use of the radiofrequency spectrum for the non-commercial exchange of messages. At the age of 13, Jerry earned an amateur ham radio license. After receiving this license, he would save his money to buy parts from local electronic stores to build his own station in his room. In honor of his memory, we’ll dedicate this Spark Workshop to sending and receiving messages between Microbits using radio frequencies. Maybe you’d like to send a smile as an act of kindness, a joke to bring laughs to someone, or a secret msg - it’s totally up to you!
