Design a Flip Book Animation

DESCRIPTION: Design the coolest animations frame by frame on paper! We'll learn pixal art techniques, starting from simple to more challenging, discuss tricks to add illusion of movement from one frame to another, and flip through to see our animations come to life right in front of our eyes. This workshop is a wonderful blend of art, animation, and creativity.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR

Nathier is a multidisciplinary designer, researcher and artist, with a Master’s in Interactive Telecommunications [ITP] from NYU. As a designer, she creates rich visual landscapes that materialize in sets, experiences and interactive installations. Her current research focuses on the relationship between human and non-human interactions and what arises when emerging technologies are involved. She has an interest in living materials and possible intersections between biological and computational systems.

MATERIAL NEEDED: Graph paper (or make your own graph paper with ruler and pencil), markers, scissors
