DESCRIPTION: Be inspired by space pioneers and engineer your own vehicles fit for the moon! We'll learn about the many achievements of mathematician and engineer Katherine Johnson who impacted most modern space missions from calculating the launch window for a human's first space flight, to calculating flight paths to orbit the earth and even land on the moon. You'll learn techniques on how to construct a cardboard rover and take it to the next level by imagining how to get it to its destination. Join this workshop for some out of this world design and making with recycled materials at home!
