Connecticut State Library is partnering with The GIANT Room for the first youth-centered AI experience of its kind: Remix The Future By & For Youth is a FREE design, publication, and community-building program for public and school libraries serving youth ages 10-18.
The program launches by youth co-designing a creative community challenge they care about with The GIANT Room and library partners. Then, youth are called to action! They can respond to this challenge with their own ideas through a self-directed, easy-to-implement station set up at participating libraries.
The GIANT Room transforms youth ideas submitted at the station into published artifacts like trading cards, comic books, and posters. Libraries receive professionally-printed copies of these one-of-a-kind youth-centered publications to add to their collection.
Public and school libraries serving youth ages 10-18 are invited to apply to be a program site and bring creative challenges to youth in their community.
Remix the Future by and for Youth is funded in part the Oops!…AI Did It Again grant from Young Futures and by the State of Connecticut and the Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act, administered by the Connecticut State Library.
