Creative STEM on THURSDAYS - Theme: Science Experiments

DESCRIPTION: Solve the Unsolvable! Participants are invited to figure out a solution to scientific mysteries, historical enigmas, and puzzle games. Working hands-on with potato batteries, conductive slime and clay, DIY switches, chemical materials and more, we'll make things light up, pop open, bubble, sizzle, inflate and along the way learn so much about the wonders of science!

Recommended for ages 5-7

FORMAT: In Person at PS 267 (213 E 63rd St, New York, NY 10065)

DATES: Thursdays at 2:45-6:00pm Sept. 14th to Jan. 25th (skipping 11/2, 11/23, and 12/28 for public school holidays)

LEARN ABOUT

  • Chemistry - mixtures and solutions, states of matter, pH measurement

  • DIY Electronics - LEDs, motors, batteries, switches, and sensors

  • Science research and experiement practices - come up with a hypothesis, test your theory with control and experimental groups, and take note of observations
