DESCRIPTION: The GIANT Room and Joan Ganz Cooney Center are partnering to administer three co-design workshops for a new literacy app!
This app is being created to improve literacy, therefore we are inviting children in grades K-2 who are multilingual learners and/or struggling readers to participate in three co-design sessions on April 21st, April 28th, and May 5th. Each session will be two hours and take place at The GIANT Room in the financial district in New York City. Participants must join all three sessions.
This program is completely free for children to participate. We are accepting a limited number of children in New York City to participate in the program. Families with children in grades K-2 are invited to apply. As a token of appreciation for your time, families will receive $75 if joining all three sessions. Multilingual and/or struggling readers are highly encouraged to apply.
Recommended for children in K to 2nd grade
