DESCRIPTION: Eyes on the sky. Notice any differences in the moon lately? If you want to be able to predict what the moon will look like on your birthday? or any other day join this workshop to create a tool to help you. You'll learn about the phases of the moon and paper construction tecniques to create an out of this world tool to help you see the shape of the moon any day of the year. Inspired by the NASA Jet Propulsion lab, you can use some of their print outs to be exact, or go off script and make yours from scratch. Take this workshop for science, making and predicting!

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Shaini graduated from Parsons School of Design with a BBA in Strategic Design & Management. She moved to San Francisco shortly after and started her own baking company called Whisk Me Away SF, where she specialized in made-to-order buttercream flower cakes. She is a mom of 2 boys (a 3-year old and 4-month old). After having her first, she became deeply interested in early childhood education. Since then she has taught classes covering a wide range of topics including gardening, science classes and theme-based exploratory classes. She is extremely passionate not only about teaching kids but also learning and discovering with them.
