Prompt #2: Good Stories Have Character Development
Get creative and learn about Jacqueline Woodson, an award-winning author, and how she uses character development in her stories.
1 - Gather paper and markers.
2 - Draw your storybook character or make it 3D.
3 - Then, dive deeper into your character and think about their development! Give them a name, traits, superpowers, props, a unique personality, an origin story, or something else.
4 - Take a photo and share it with us! You can also submit an audio recording or write down your ideas. We'll be using your character submission to add to your personalized storybook!
