You’re Invited to Apply and Join a Co-Design Workshop with a Pest Control Company!
The GIANT Room, an innovation hub for youth and their families, is excited to lead a co-design engagement with members of a pest control company. What you’ll co-design with this company is a secret, but we promise you’ll be surprised by how much inspiration you can find in insects and bugs! This unique opportunity invites young people to take part in a shared creative experience alongside visiting designers and explore new ideas together. Youth ages 14 to 18 are invited to apply to join this free co-design session.
During the session, participants will ideate and design concepts inspired by bugs while contributing to the development of an impactful program for high schoolers. Through hands-on creative challenges, participants will actively create prototypes and exchange perspectives by drawing from their own interests and learnings from the world of tiny bugs. Participating youth will receive $35 as an appreciation of their time. The session will be held on May 11th, 4 to 6pm at The GIANT Room studio at 25 Broadway, 12th floor, New York, NY, 10004.
The GIANT Room believes that young people have perspectives and unique points of view that can greatly impact the design of our world. These co-design partnerships not only provide opportunities for youth to meet and build prototypes with real industry designers, but also make it possible to imagine products and experiences that reflect the identities, cultures, and lived experiences of young people around the world.
This program is completely FREE for families to participate. We are accepting a limited number of youth to participate. Youths aged 14 to 18 are invited to apply and participating youth will receive $35 as an appreciation of their time.
