Innovation and Kindness Abound at Hunter Elementary

We want to give a huge shout out to the Think Like An Inventor class at Hunter Elementary this week!

Kindergarten, first grade, and second grade students transform into inventors every Monday! Every week brings a new challenge that requires them to put their thinking caps on, and they’ve quickly become experts on how to help people who are afraid of the dark, ways to prepare for floods, strategies to save the bees, and much more!

This week our inventors sprung into action and experimented in creating something that they already have years of experience with… TOYS!

Instructor, Casper Ma, pridefully reported, “Today was a huge success! The kids made some awesome projects.”

According to Ma, many of these little innovators were inspired by different animals when designing their inventions.

“They got really creative with it! From snakes, dogs, and dinosaurs!”

But that’s not all! Some made musical instruments, and some, perhaps inspired by the holiday spirit, made animal toys to give to their pets!

However, the pets weren’t the only ones who were made something special. At the end of the day, Ma also received a very special present from one very kind inventor.

All and all, a very special and productive day in the inventors’ lab!
